Safety Around Water
The world is 71% water.
Children are 100% curious.
We offer two opportunities with two different programs.
May 28-May 31 we have SPLASH into Summer at the Davis Family YMCA.
June 3-7 we have Community Swim Lessons at the Central YMCA.
These events are made possible thanks to a grant provided by the United Way of Mahoning Valley.
Community Swim Lessons
Community Swim Lessons is a program open to ages 6-12. Join us for 5 days of swim lessons at the Central Y from June 3-7. The lessons are designed for non-swimmers to learn basic swimming, survival, and rescue skills.
Parents of participating children are invited to learn to swim in an adult group so that the entire family can learn how to be safe around water this summer. Swimsuits are required; floatation devices will be provided.

SPLASH into Summer!
SPLASH into Summer is a fun, FREE program for ages 6-12. We teach kids and families to be safe in and around the water.
Topics include: danger recognition, backyard pool safety, open water safety, survival skills, and basic rescue skills. Participants can stay and swim in the Outdoor Pool until 8 pm.
SPLASH is held for four days, Tuesday-Friday, May 28-May 31, from 6 to 7 pm at the Davis Family Y. Registration is for the week. Wear your swimsuit and bring a towel.
Parent or guardian must remain on Y premises during the program. Please leave valuables and floaties at home.
