Geared toward students 9 and up, classes will be held on Fridays from 4-5 pm in the art studio. In addition to the ins and outs of drawing, time will be spent discussing anime origins, styles, and impact. Students are encouraged to bring their own ideas to class, as well as tablets, if they prefer to draw electronically.

Mixed Media

Using a variety of styles, students will create beautiful images by layering color in pencil renderings.  Some drawing skills recommended. Supply list will be available at the desk.

Students will learn the basics of drawing, including styles and techniques, perspective, and shading. Pen and ink will be incorporated into the drawing process as the class progresses. Students work at their own pace.  Some drawing skills recommended.  Supply list will be available at the desk.

Home School Art Ages 6-17

Homeschool students will be introduced to a variety of art and technique styles using paints, markers, graphite, collage, and more.

We offer two different times for the two different age groups.

Ages 6-10
Thursdays 11:00 am-12:00 pm

Ages 11-17
Wednesdays 1:00-1:45 pm

Painters with Experience

Geared toward students who have some previous painting experience. Format is a studio class, students working on their own paintings, at their own speed, with individual instruction as needed. Informal art history and constructive critiques will help further students’ knowledge of art in broader terms. A supply list is available at the Service Desk.

Adult Classes

You have permission to play in the mud! Create your own pottery using both hand-built and wheel-thrown techniques. All supplies are provided.

Students will learn (or expand on previous skills) the fundamentals and techniques for creating art using watercolor paints. This class is suitable for beginners and more advanced students. A supply list is available at the Service Desk.
