Arts & Humanities
At the Davis Family YMCA, one can explore a variety of arts and humanities classes, all of which are taught by professionals in their fields. A diverse line up of visual and performance art classes are available, rounded out by several workshops and informal clubs, and a foreign language class.
Anime Ages 9 & Up Winter 2
Geared toward students 9 and up, classes will be held on Fridays from 4-5 pm in the art studio. In addition to the ins and outs of drawing, time will be spent discussing anime origins, styles, and impact. Students are encouraged to bring their own ideas to class, as well as tablets, if they prefer to draw electronically.

Drawing - Mixed Media - Winter 2

Painting - Adult - Winter 2
Painters with Experience
Geared toward students who have some previous painting experience. Format is a studio class, students working on their own paintings, at their own speed, with individual instruction as needed. Informal art history and constructive critiques will help further students’ knowledge of art in broader terms. A supply list is available at the Service Desk.
