Swim Challenges
Throughout the year, the Y offers swim challenges that mimic actual events held in various parts of the world.
The challenges run for multiple weeks, and miles are earned by swimming laps at the Central Y and Davis Family Y pools.

Swim by this Greek Island in Our Pools!
Our 2nd Challenge Swim in 2026 is the Milos Explorer Distance Swim, a 28 mile swim along this moon-like Greek island.
Those accepting the challenge will attempt to swim the 28 mile distance over the 9-week timeframe. Challengers track their laps at the Davis Y and Central Y pools toward the goal of 49,280 yds (986 laps) from June 1 through August 3.
The Registration Fee includes a Greek Captain’s hat. Are you up for the Challenge?
