Art Workshops
During the year, the Davis Family YMCA Arts & Humanities department offers artistic workshops. These workshops are conducted by local artists with expertise in that area.
Stained Glass Workshop
Sunrise Sunset AND Stripes
NEW Day and Time!
Join us in the Art Studio for a Stained Glass Workshop. International stained glass artist Lynne Provance will instruct. Supplies will be provided and students progress at their own pace.
Lynne will present step by step instructions for students to create two 3”x3” stained glass sun catchers. Students will piece and foil pre-cut glass to create a sunrise/sunset and another second piece with colorful stripes. For this introduction to stained glass art, Lynne will then solder the pieces, with students finishing up by cleaning their art to make them absolutely sparkle!
What to Bring?
- Desire to relax and to think differently
- Time
- Snack/closed drinking container with drink (no food allowed during workshop times)
- Long sleeve shirt and pants
- Close toed shoes
- Latex gloves are recommended
